Oh, but we can't let the nostalgia stop there! Don't forget: Arnold, a massive archive of software for the C64. And the 64.ch archive of demos (many of which are bad, but a handful of which are remarkable). And what collection of links is complete without including the legendary Fairlight?

Ahh, this brings back *sweet* memories... Does anyone know who the artist was who did all those airbrush covers ?

This would bring back even more memories if I had purchased more of the games instead of using Fast Hack'em to copy from friends.

Damn, maybe I'm the only one who got extremely frustrated with my c64, then?

Getting my floppy drive to work was a miserable experience. It made me really love the cartridges the c64 had. They loaded so much faster, too.

I had a bunch of games, original and copies, and it was always a crap shoot whether they'd run or not.

I loved the machine for a long time, though.

That would be Olly Frey.

I was actually invited to to visit Zzap!s offices when I was about twelve. It was in the latter days and I can remember reviewer Phil King bent over a SpeedKing Joysttick playing a review copy of Enduro Racer or something on the office Amiga. I hung about the office (a small dingy thing and played some prerelease copies of things like APB and Lemmings (I think), before being shown around the rest of Zzap! Towers. To the design room where they put the magazine together ... then ... nowhere because my Dad arrived and said we had to go ... (AAAAGH!) I did manage to leave with their review copy of the not so great Thunderbirds tie-in though.
