Hootie & the Blowfish have endorsed John Edwards
If your job/occupation involves politicians, see why an endorsement is valuable & an important public tool, know the endorsee's view(s) & value(s) . Other wise an actor acts, the garbage collector takes your trash away....

I'm sort of tired that anyone and everyone thinks they can slag actors/entertainers for having/voicing political opinions while they themselves whose qualifications may include office worker, cab driver, house wife, programmer, MetaFilter browser feel themselves free and worthy to spout off ad nauseam. Please, really, get a grip.

Avra Siegal Endorses Dean For America

BURLINGTON--Dean for America announced tonight the endorsement of Avra Siegal, a senior at the University of Michigan. Siegal, a native of Manhattan, was the campaign's 400,000th personal endorsement--a milestone in the campaign's "September to Remember," thirty days that will change politics in America forever.

Hmm, I thought that was kind of cute. After all, why are Hootie and the blowfish's endorcements any more importan then some random collage student?

The city council or otherwise local politico endorsements are funny and worthy of laughing at. To the leader of your local Elks club has such a draw in a podunk town that the national wire service would carry their endorsement is a little funny. Of course, I've met a lot of small town mayors and city councilmen that think they are senators.

So an actor can, but I can't? If the whole world endorses, why vote? Yes, an actor may/can endorse a candidate, but why make a large announcement. Where is my spot endorsing a candidate. It over done basically was all I was commenting.

Never said which jobs involve working with politicians as an actor may.
