Damn! What a horrible way to start off her college career.

Had that young lady gone to UCLA, her dignity and her ass would still be intact.

OK, how many movies can you think of where someone is killed by landing on a fence with a pointy top?

"Police said they did not believe that either alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. "

Ok? As if that should be the first thing that pops into your head. It clearly said she was leaning on the window and the screen popped out.

Perhaps only people who are under the influence lean on windows.

ALL ACCIDENTS ARE CAUSED BY TEENAGE PUNKS SNIFFING GLUE!

hey Satapher, feeling a little sensitive? I worked for the Post Office for 3 years and they wouldn't let me in the bars to deliver the mail, but the porn shop staff seemed to get a kick out of my coming in.....(started when I was 19).....a youthful appearance isn't an asset--unless you're a model--then you're a god. life's just so much BS.

so the "humorous" part of this story is that it didn't happen to you, or to someone you know?

Schadenfreude is quickly becoming a popular subtopic at MeFi.

Actually, fence impalements aren't really that uncommon.

Maybe it's just me, but I tend to not put my entire body weight against a window no matter what. If she wasn't under the influence, she was definitely stupid.

Good grief, I won't lean heavily on my car door, let alone a window. Let alone a window multiple stories up in a building. Any thought I ever had of leaning on a window ended when Eric Clapton's son took his fatal tumble. If a window couldn't support the leaning weight of a 4 year old, I shouldn't breathe heavily near glass, lest it fail.

Should it take 18 years+ to learn this lesson?
