I used to use a service like this one but it went bust after about a year. And there went an awful lot of carefully collected links. Dunno that I want to risk repeating that experience.

Blatant self link: FarFetch is the same sort of thing, but bookmarks are private, and you don't have to install anything, you just have to drag a bookmarklet to your toolbar (or not).

whats wrong with CTRL+D? Probably nothing, as long as you only use one computer and have no interest in sharing your bookmarks.

Before you start dumping all your favorite links and their associated content into Furl, you might want to read the Terms of Service and their Privacy Policy. Actually, I'll save you the step. Both are "Coming soon!" (Insert dire scenarios re. your information here.)
