History Today made me laugh. Why had I never heard of Newman and Baddiel before? (I suppose because I'm American and my English friend hadn't sent me that link until today.) Don't read the transcripts, watch the videos.

I remember seeing and enjoying Newman and Baddiel when I lived in England back in the early 90s (when they were doing Newman and Baddiel In Pieces). Sadly, they went their separate ways shortly thereafter.

I think it probably does get old fairly quickly if you're watching one after another. You have to remember though that we had to wait a week between each short sketch when they were on tv over here. Believe me, it's even funnier if you understand how bad it'd be to lose to John Inman in a fight, or have a mum that looks like Geoff Capes.
