Wow. It makes me wonder how much the latest (i.e., classified) satellites can see. Couldn't find any climbers on El Capitan. I figured they would be visible, but maybe not. Or maybe mid-October isn't El Capitan season...

I missed the first thread. This is awesome. When I noticed how close one could zoom it became even cooler. Like Crash said, the full sizes are awesome too! Nice post. cheers.

whatnotever: Ikonos is 1m resolution. The KH-11 -- the previous generation military satellite is about 10cm. The current generation is unknown outside of classified circles, but it might not be much better than the KH-11, because the images that have to be downlinked are enormous even at that resolution.
