Vice-Presidential Nominee Dick Cheney Didn't Vote in 14 of the 16 Last Elections.I am not for either side yet, but for me this does not help the Elephants one bit. Why should I even consider voting for Dick when a he dosen't even take the time to participate in our democracy?

So.Voting is irrational. (You will need to scroll a fair way down the page, there is a better book about this, but no link)If you were a rational person you would not vote anyway. Can anyone tell me when their vote in a major election actually influenced the result?

Perhaps he didn't vote because of lack of quality choices.

In which case, I assume he won't be voting this time round either.

I think his service in Congress and as Secretary of Defense may count as at least a few points toward the "participating in our democracy" stat.

Work or service done for the good of this nation should not be confused with participating in a democracy. That's just plain old work that we should be greatful for. And I am. Democracy is when we as citizens vote for our representatives and government leaders.
