Great post. Brings back memories of the same bus and the same route years ago - and way before the congestion charge made catching the bus in London almost a pleasure...

I gave a seminar on the No. 73 bus today. Actually on the bus research not physically on the bus - though that would've been much more interesting. It was for the Sociology Department at the University of Surrey as part of the regular Seminar series.

Interesting that this work has arisen out of academic research rather than someone simply writing about the experieice of using transport
