aside from not actually being an art, unless you want to validate consumerism, mefi is where i found out that site in particular. or maybe memepool. either way, this link has been tossed around more times then my salad.

The making of a great compilation tape like breaking up, is hard to do and takes ages longer than it might seem. You gotta kick it off with a killer to grab attention. Then you gotta take it up a notch but you don't want to blow your wad. So then you gotta cool it off a notch. There are a lot or rules. Anyway...I've started to make a tape. In my head, for Laura. Full of stuff she'd like. Full of stuff that'd make her happy. For the first time, I can see how that's done.

I love the title for the latest: "The Chi-Lites Role in UFO Disinformation is Negligible". That alone is art enough to make me feel pretty happy this morning, the aloha!

Previous discussion here. Art of the Mix has gotten a lot bigger since I first discovered it and it's harder to find the good stuff, but it's still one of my favorite sites. I've learned about lots of great music there.
