Eekacat - The great thing is : they didn't have a clue! The pic was from, a German site about a Dachshund competion. That German guy's just so damn proud of his weiner-dog, he's got to put it on display! (The other guy? well......) People love those Dachshunds and mini-Dachshunds, and sometimes, owner and weiner look striking similar

There are four English-language dailys in Tokyo; the senior staff are all Japanese, and most of the writers are native-English speakers. I think it was the Daily Yomiuri's headline editor who was constantly slipping stuff past his bosses. In an article about a new electronic passport-checking machine or something from Kinki Nippon Electronics (Kinki being the name of the region around Osaka), the headline was Kinki Device Eases Entry.

There was a headline back when Tommy Thompson was governor of Wisconsin that ran after a particularly amusing use of WI's wide-ranging line-item-veto power. It was supposed to be making the usual comparison between pens and swords, but two words ran together so it ended up reading THOMPSON'S PENIS A SWORD See also: RELIEF GROUPS HELP HURT FAMILY and CHURCH RETAINS HOMOSEXUAL BAR
