I have spent many a happy afternoon reading the stories linked to from sniggle.net. It's a great site full of wonderful stories. My favorites include The Great Canadian Wallpaper Festival, Arm the Homeless, the burial of Blinky the Friendly Hen, the Bay Area Rotisserie Friends Fourth Annual Pigeon Roast, the many pranks of Brian G. Hughes, and, of course, the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. Larry Walters, lawnchair pilot. Perhaps my favorite from the whole site, which may or may not be apocryphal:

"A student at MIT spent her summer days at the Harvard football field, wearing a black-and-white striped shirt and tossing bird seed around while blowing a whistle. A few months later, football season began, and when the referee blew the whistle for the first home game, the field was suddenly covered with birds."

I love it.

My favorite park of this site is the personal blog the guy has about trying to make so little income [after deductions] that he [legally] doesn't have to pay taxes.

When the war on Iraq started, I stopped paying the federal income tax and started working for my values instead of against them. I quit my job and deliberately reduced my income to the point where I no longer owe federal income tax. I've transformed my life, concentrating on what really matters, so that I can live well and securely on this reduced income. I took a practical approach, learning about the tax law and about how to live well by being down-to-earth and sensibly frugal. I've learned to live within my means without paying federal income tax - and I can do this honestly, peacefully, and legally.
