The Human Beatbox (Video). I meant this to be a follow-up to another previous thread about this specific ability, but the search page won't give me my results. At any rate, this guy amuses, entertains and scares the bejeezus out of me all at the same time. Good enough for me!
oh. excuse me. posted to the wrong thread. but perhaps fitting anyway.

The "If your mother only knew" bit toward the end is a "cover" of Rahzel, who does it much better here.

Bauchklang is a local band without instruments, eg beatboxing, imitating instruments & singing (example video, audio sample... but they're more impressive live)

I'm much more impressed by Rahzel, really.
I'm much more impressed by Slayer, but that doesn't mean I don't like Metallica.

Thanks, rafter. I saw Rahzel do "Black Hole Sun" years ago -- I've never heard or seen anything like it.

I just love the fact that, behind the human beatbox, is a real drum kit.

Sporting of you to call them "covers", as he basically seems to rip off Rahzel's patter as well as music. To be fair, though, I don't think his performance is far off Rahzel's in terms of quality. More original material would be nice, though.
On the subject: I prefer Killa Kela [auido sample] to Rahzel, but to be fair I haven't seen Rahzel or the roots live, and it's a bit unfair to judge without having done so - the artistry revolves around working the crowd, and that's something Rahzel seems to be able to do excellently. On the strength of Precursor on Amon Tobin's Supermodified I'd definitely like to hear more from Montreal's Quadraceptor, too - not much about him on the internet.
