Hey, Hey, 16K! What does that get you today? Perhaps the best bit of nerd nostalgia since the NESBuckle?

Catchy song, dodgy animation, and the disembodied floating head of Clive Sinclair... what more could you ask for? Other than your old C64 back... [via AccordionGuy]

Bah! I've said before and I'll say it again - TRS-80 represent, represent! We didn't even have no damn 16k until 'extended' came out. While you C64 wussies were reveling in your bloated, decadent 16K, we were doing amazing stuff in 4K! Like, uh, playing "guess the number" and making the screen blink magenta.

(actually I liked the post, I just get to play the opressed minority card so rarely that I have to kinda go for it when I do.)

Future pre-historians will look back and see the TRS-80 and the Apollo missions as the pinnacle achievements of Western Technological Society. Sure, we've gone further since, but these are mere incremental improvements, not the Glorious Visionary Leap Forward the TRS-80 represents. From here on out it's just a slow descent into Dalek-hood.

we were doing amazing stuff in 4K!

No reminiscence of the TRS-80 is complete without mentioning
Dancing Demon .

From here on out it's just a slow descent into Dalek-hood.
