Having just spent a weekend pet-sitting 12 cats (and 2 dogs and 2 rats and 2 budgies), I am grateful that the opposable thumbs mutation in cats is extremely rare. posted by aeschenkarnos at 7:44 AM on May 20, 2004
My cat is polydactyl, with 27 toes, with the "opposable" one that makes food tins pretty much useless. Good thing he's fixed so he can't populate the world with opposable-thumbed, lazy bird killers... posted by sauril at 2:35 PM on May 20, 2004
