It's Rodeohead, (MP3 download), the radiohead country and western medley. Please note there is absolutely no reason to post this apart from it's Friday, it's a bank holiday weekend and it made me laugh. If you're looking for in-depth then move along, nothing to see here...

Frighteningly enough, I find Rodeohead compelling, or at least compelling enough to Google them. Here's a little background http://www.chrishardwick.com/downloadables.html . Plus I like the phrase "what better way to honor them than by running their music through the beer-swilling, ass-kicking hick-filter of my homeland, the American South."

Does anyone have access to that bluegrass version of The Wall I heard about a while back?

cortex - all i know is that the band name is called luther wright and the wrongs.

The Austin Lounge Lizards did a terrific bluegrass version of "Brain Damage/Eclipse" as well.

In the oppsite covers direction, Jason & The Scorchers' cowpunked versions of "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town," and "Absolutely Sweet Marie."

It's brilliant-- drop dead hilarious if you're a Radiohead fan, but still funny even if not. The guitar solo from Paranoid Android recast as a take on Duelling Banjos alone is brilliant (not to mention the "God loves his children" "Copy that, ten four" line).

There's something like 19 songs thrown into the mix here so that, weirdly enough, it's actually not a bad summary of their work (wish they'd included a few bars of Idioteque, though. That would have rocked.) And the bass line from The National Anthem on jaw harp nearly killed me.
