Gorgeous. Here's a good Tarkovsky tribute site with lots of photos (not his), plus print images, including film posters, as well as diary excerpts.

I have a love/hate thing with his films, but I still find them, and him, and this link, very interesting. Thanks!

Thank you so much for these; I've gone and bought the book.

Interested parties who aren't already in the know should acquaint themselves with Walker Evans's Polaroids.

This is great -- thanks! And thanks to others for posting additional cool links. I know what I'll be doing this afternoon...

I've got to go against the evidently popular opinion here. Much as I admire Tarkovsky's work, these are just an almost-dozen of crappy polaroids. I see nothing special in them artistically, and they offer no insight into Tarkovsky's mind that I could find. Just a family album that somehow made its way onto web and into guardian...

Wow. The color.

I don't know what you are looking for in "art," bcc, but these are drop-dead gorgeous.

Bootiful, jazzkat. They're just polaroids, but their composition and subjects and color and light/shadow make them incredible. They're all a bit blurry, but you'll get that with a simple camera, and it doesn't detract at all. Amzing stuff, really. I love Tarkovsky.
