Swift3D looks really neat. Unfortunately they don't offer a free trial, though, and I'm not buying something just to try it out.

Swift3d alone, from what I know about it, can't do something like this on its own. The animation was most likely made in a 3d program (I'm guessing 3D Studio Max) then rendered into a flash piece from a plugin, like Swift3D. Maya could do it too, it has native vector rendering.

Pretty damn cool though, regardless of how they made it.
