The wonderful Newseum provides a look back at some of the front pages from newspapers reporting the invasion of "Fortress Europe" 60 years ago today.

If you only read the headlines a lot of them seem like the "bad" guys invaded rather than an ally.

Bad web designers! If you want to use a popup, give it a real href too. It is kind of cool that you can zoom in and read all the text. I wish the "paper window" was bigger though. Not everyone has 640x480 anymore.
