Me too, jasper411, and I even knew something was coming in that room because of a comment in their guestbook. Why is that kind of thing so damned effective?! posted by Songdog at 10:42 PM on June 10, 2004
The Tab key seems to show you what you need to click.
What number was the scary room? I gave up after 12. posted by uncanny hengeman at 10:57 PM on June 10, 2004
very cool. Love the rumble and the distant noises.

Eerie, beautiful, nice.
I used to love playing in abandoned factories when I was younger. I took photos of the light switches and stuff. I probably would have ended up doing something like this, maybe.
I had too much food for lunch.

Damn it Chrid, you scared the hell outta me. I stopped at 9. But no, I just had to go look at 26.

I really feel bad for people who put up good content and have this happen. OTOH, the internet is all about sharing. It would be a shame if only the 'elite' could get access to cool pages.. posted by eas98 at 6:16 AM on June 11, 2004
It's a shame when people don't use FreeCache for this kind of thing. I want the beautiful scary! posted by nicwolff at 8:38 AM on June 11, 2004
I'm stuck in room 65, and it won't let me out, and that damn organ music is driving me crazy! Help me, Obi-Wan! posted by ChrisTN at 9:48 AM on June 11, 2004
Fell asleep - face down in my tired, old P1 laptop - wandering the wastes last night.
Awoke several times to advance a room or two, only to drift off again.
Needless to say my dreams were quite wonderfully deranged, though, I have awoken quite refreshed.
I'm a sucker for high-res photos of post-industrial waste and experimental/ambient noises anyway. I find the music that machines make to be soothing.
Somehow I doubt the designer(s) of this would mind that I used their toy this way. I'd go so far as to say they would probably be pleased. posted by loquacious at 9:56 AM on June 11, 2004
Fantastic! And many thanks to all the hints here. The centaur and the peacock and all the viny flowers are particularly lovely. Just wish I'd skipped room 26. posted by of strange foe at 10:37 AM on June 11, 2004
loquacious: I had a similar experience sleeping to Aphex Twin the other night. Some of the strangest dreams I've had. posted by quasistoic at 8:50 PM on June 11, 2004
