Check out the giant cancer fighting colon... of science! "It's part of a national tour to educate people about various types of common and preventable cancers. The 'Check Your Insides Out -- Top to Bottom' tour is full of interactive educational exhibits on colon, lung, oral, breast, prostate and skin cancers."

Here's the tour page. Damn, it's not coming to a town near me and I've always wanted to see this in person.

"Visitors will [...] stroll inside a gigantic colon, test their breast care knowledge, peer into a cavernous open mouth, listen to lungs talk...."

Someday, when I have more time, I seriously want to crank out fake sites like this. If you get the joke it's hilarious, but it sneaks under the radar so smoothly most will just smile and nod. "Oh, look. A giant walk through colon. Isn't that nice."

I think my first effort will be a passionate blog about my attempt to overcome the manic-compulsive disorder I have that leads me to have to constantly count the "non-curvy" consonants in every sentence.

Ain't no fake. Don't know if this is the same one, but I crawled (not strolled-- it wasn't that big) through a giant colon in Seattle about a year a go. The diverticulosis looked just painful. Ends in hemmorhoids. Even got a picture of my infant son bursting forth from a trap door in the roof.

My wife called an out-of-state friend saying "I'm calling you from inside a giant colon!" Her friend said: "It sounds like it!"

Of course, then there's the 16 foot tall giant heart exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago (but the human body slices are the real attraction there).
