Personally, I didn't think Asimo had HOF numbers. Sure, he had a couple of good years, but I'd have wanted a bit more production from him before he got recognized. Astroboy, on the other hand, is way overdue. Good on the committee for finally recognizing his massive contributions and prodigious output, even deep into his dotage, where other robots have been long retired. Astroboy is totally the Nolan Ryan of Robots.

Honestly... what the HAL!! Doesn't it bother anyone that the jury is composed entirely of humans? Why are the very objects of this commemoration completely disenfranchised!? At least get a cyborg, or a fembot in there to represent, dammit!

Astroboy is totally the Nolan Ryan of Robots. Perfect analogy, chicob, considering I'm an almost-lifelong fan of both. Of course, the hype for the "I, Robot" is tied into this event (at least it wasn't "Stepford Wives"). So Marvin's best chance at induction would be if the "Hitchhiker" movie gets a similar tie-in when it's released. But who could forget the greatest technological advancement in counter-intelligence in the 1960's? Hymie! Dick Gautier was the Patrick Warburton of his generation. You'll know the Robot Hall of Fame has outlived its usefulness if it ever nominates this.
