Anacrusis is a collection of short stories. Very short stories, written under a strict length constraint. It's a perfect way to get your daily dose of weird, funny, thought-provoking fiction.

Cool. Although he stole McSweeney's look. He also links to constrained.org, which is a fun community-oriented writing resource/site as well.

This just reminded me of one my favorite books from about 10 years ago--Sudden Fiction. It's similarly a collection of "short short" stories, by a lot of pretty well-known writers, and it's really great fun to read. (There were two follow-up books as well, I think.)

Nice post. An author friend of mine has been doing something similiar, he refers to it as Flash Fiction. (he's gone for 100 words, not 101. Those wacky authors!).

Fuck words man, I'm just now getting into SMS poems. 160 charachters. exactly. Here are some bad, bad examples (many are shorter than 160 chars). But still , constrained writing is good.
