Actually, as someone who's done a fair bit with Photoshop, I can say that this guy needs more practice, but I like the concept nonetheless. posted by clevershark at 12:42 AM on July 14, 2004
Yes, but does it have teh funnay? posted by spazzm at 2:11 AM on July 14, 2004
Gadzooks! Where once glistening porn cried "FORNICATION" from the page, now cheap, lonely furniture moans to be sold to the salvation-army from my web browser.
Excuse me! Let me eat the cherry from atop your sundae. Let me roast your bowl black and then hand it to you. Let me fart on your pillow before you go to sleep and leave a turd in the fridge for your breakfast. Why must you attack my smut? It's all I have!!!
Yeah, the photoshop's pretty bad-- the Hiroshima-like shadows of the humping people bug me. However, it does illustrate how depressing the settings of amateur porn can be. posted by Mayor Curley at 4:17 AM on July 14, 2004
It's not pornography.
It's also not intresting. posted by delmoi at 6:00 AM on July 14, 2004
Obscene Interiors is a much funnier take on this, with snarky comments on the terrible decor. I think it used to be a website that I probably saw here, but now it's a book. You can see some fun samples though.
You really must wonder what's going on in the head of someone who obviously spent hours and hours erasing the people in these pictures. A psychoanalyst's field day of repression, I'd imagine. posted by crunchland at 6:08 AM on July 14, 2004
I agree with the awful photoshopping.... Better left to the folks at Worth1000... posted by Robot Johnny at 7:12 AM on July 14, 2004
Huh -- I thought these were very interesting. Yeah, the photoshop's pretty bad, but I thought the overall result was I pretty cohesive statement about the loneliness and desparation of commercialized sexuality. posted by LittleMissCranky at 8:36 AM on July 14, 2004

See, that's your take on it. It could just as easily be a paean to the joy of improvisation, the can-do ethos of porn and a nod to its sheer ubiquity. posted by dmt at 8:51 AM on July 14, 2004

It would've made a cool game, though. On one side we should have the figures, on the other side, the furniture. Then we could have an amusing web-based pr0n game where we match the figures to the furniture. posted by elwoodwiles at 12:42 PM on July 14, 2004
