I don't see how these caged beds would have been compatible with the Czech Republic's committments under the European Convention on Human Rights.

I like JK Rowling (and her books) but this issue affects "around 20 caged beds and 100 net-covered beds in use in psychiatric wards around the country"

While what she has achieved is laudable I can't help but feel that that her enormous influence would be better used with regards to the West's continuing indifference in the face of the 1.2m who're at risk of dying in Western Sudan.

There's also a bit more to Havel's taste for Zappa's music than simple fan-boy hero worship; that was the sound of freedom.
