This sentence is less ambiguous when "documentary films" is replaced with "arguments for war". Then it's clear that we're both talking about Dick Cheney.

Are you suggesting that Aristophanes was a physically obese nihilist with a talent for making slanderous, lie-filled documentary films that seduced large numbers of people with undeveloped critical minds? I thought motion picture technology only dated to the late 1800's.

He's actually a devout Roman Catholic. But don't let the distinct lack of knowledge contained within your undeveloped critical mind get in the way of your slanderous lying.

It's astonishing that my comment yields serious, or even semi-serious responses. Lies, for a start, check the Hitchens article in Slate.com. add in the fact that the Bush Administration was acting on reasonable assessments of the intelligence available to it. And then, add in the fact that Michael Moore is a certified asshole.

Hitchens article was hysterical nonsense brought upon by the downward spiral of his sensibility and journalistic integrity. The rest is just your usual bullshit, simplified down to such an extent that its essentially worthless to any meaningful discussion, which is ironically what makes the first bit--why anything you say yields serious responses--the only cogent point of two entire posts.

Asshole!

Hmmm. Euripides was actually the much more progressive playright as far as social issues went. Indeed, attacking Cleon wasn't enitrely unlike doing a Clinton BJ joke, in my opinion. Aristophones was, again in my opinion, a conservative comedian in the mold of Jay Leno.

Well, that's a little strong. I wouldn't necessarily call the Hitchens article "Lies," just wild-eyed bloviation, for the most part.

Clever that, subtilely promoting your alma matter. How did you fare during the certification exam(s)? I'm guessing your score was significantly higher than Moore's. Perhaps a link to a list of graduates from this program might be helpful as well as pointers on how to get access to the training materials. Elite company I imagine.

I don't recall that charge being made in Moore's film, much less in any works of Aristophanes. I'm pretty sure that Joe Wilson wasn't in the movie (and he definitely wasn't in any of Aristophanes' plays).
