The TV version premieres August 13th. (Flash; dinner at 5:00 sharp; no running in the hallways) Visualizes a chorus of imaginary beings chanting "hama did a double post, hama did a double post, neener neener neener!"

This is a truly imaginative subject. I love the fact that the illustrations are unfinished sketches. It allows you to fill in some of the gaps with your own imagination. Far better than hyper-detailed renderings off all the creatures.

Check out the entry on the Lamed wufniks: There are on earth, and always were, thirty-six righteous men whose mission is to justify the world before God. They are the Lamed Wufniks. Meh. The drawings aren't particularly skilled or evocative, and add nothing but a rather middle-brow concreteness to the intricate imagination, lyricism and irony of the original text.
