I got 6/10 on the actually metal quiz - which, considering that I have never taken even high school chemistry, makes me quite proud. (A knowledge of history helped - such as that Britain was valued by the Romans for its tin mines (to make bronze with), or that societies without smithing still had beaten gold, which was found in its pure form). posted by jb at 7:25 AM on August 29, 2004
