What sort of "Famous Curves" website would neglect to give
props to Pierre Bezier? I suppose the Peano curve isn't cool enough, either. The Harrack M- and Hilbert curves may as well be wallflowers.

Not that I'm some big mathematician or anything...

While the Lamé Curves are kind of lame, the Devil's Curve is actually pretty hot.

Right Strophoid sounds like one of those little towns in the English countryside where they have all sorts of strange traditional customs like shin kicking and horn dancing.

Great stuff, plep. You cleared something up for me. I met an older gentleman at school. Retired, friendly gent, well into hs eighties, would come to the library five, six days per week. Told me he studied geometry text books. The only math I've studied after high school has been statistics. I took the story at face value but his story makes more sense to me now, looking at these links.

Memories of spirograph.

...in the jungle, welcome to the jungle, feel my, my, my [xxy + aby - aax = 0, ab > 0], I wanna hear...

That "shin kicking trivia" page caught my eye.
>Modern shin kicking is a somewhat cushier sport: opponents are allowed to stuff straw down their trousers to cushion the blows.
