I don't think that's entirely what it's about, stalbach... There's definitely an 'alternative' bike culture out there, in stark opposition to the weekend-warriors in $50 spandex jerseys. Among them are bike messengers, critical massers, bikes-not-bombs... It's the gutter-punk approach to bicycling, and I think it's a damned goo thing it exists. The other guys are waaaaay too into toys and money form my liking. Gimme the kids who like wrapping their bikes around trees and then fixing them with twigs and vines any day.
