I saw Laura Branigan at a music festival in the early 90s, long after her seeming glory days. Say what you will for her one-hit-wonderfulness, but on stage she was a person who loved performing and loved the people who bothered to listened. So for that rare quality, I'll miss her.

Well...bummer. I'd gotten to see her in Love, Janis and had heard rumors that she was pulling together a torch song album which I would have loved to hear. Also, damn... it freaks me out when something that killed my grandmother kills someone that's only a decade or so older than I am. I'd just as soon not have to consider my own mortality please.

I saw Laura Branigan in concert at a tiny little venue in Cape Cod in the 80s, and have always had a soft spot for her since. Hey, she shook a little girl's hand, and nicely - it worked for me. I also just hate hearing about brain aneurysms - really creeps me out. :(
