Perhaps you had a one-hit wonder in the '80s, with more people remembering your mohawk and nose chain than your actual music. Fear not, as you can now have your own ponderosa where you don't have to fall in love. Or perhaps you were a backing musician for Prince, known more for your penchant for playing in surgical scrubs. By had a one hit wonder are you referring to sex? As in I had that one hit wonder Jane Child in the back alley of Austin's Black Cat Club in the summer of '91? She thought me skanky but I didn't mind as I dug her single - Don't Want to Fall in Love - which made a dent in the charts the year before. I had more than my fair share of one hit wonders...don't even go there.

Wow. I used to really dig Jane Child. I still have 12" vinyls for "Don't Wanna Fall" and "Welcome to the Real World" ... good to see that she's still working, though I am so cautious to give those a renewed listen. Nothing like having former favorites reduced to regrets by matured taste.

Note to self: do not have sex with filchyboy unless you want it advertised all over the internet. (Well, and the fact that filchyboy is probably male also contributed to that decision.)

More power to these "has-beens," frankly! The music industry is rotten, glad they managed to stick it out.
