George W. Bush "suspended" from Texas Air National Guard. He repeatedly says he was discharged "honorably", but some government documents seem to say otherwise

I can't make much sense out of gov. docs, but this looks like it says "reason for suspension: failure to accomplish annual medical examination". It sounds like an honrable discharge to me. Isn't it? Anyone know what para 2-10, AFM 35-15 says? owillis, care to explain your post?

Looks like over-zealous muckraking by party workers who should really be out canvassing. (And you know my politics...) That said, the report's right to mention that Bush's cronies spread rumours about the impact of McCain's incarceration on his mental health. All's fair in... well, perhaps.

AFAIK, a "suspension" doesn't sound like an "honorable discharge" to me. Truth be told, I don't care about this issue as much as the fact that Bush never answered the cocaine question.

I'm curious to know where da5id thinks this issue of whether Bush has lied about his the type of discharge he received from the Texas Air National Guard has been addressed... I can't seem to find anything other than the document originally referred to and Bush's prior statement that he received an "honorable discharge."

Personally, I refuse to take this story seriously unless the mainstream media runs with it for a while. Even Adam Clymer hasn't reported it, for crying out loud.

Oh yeah... suspended for what, three days until he went to see the base M.D.? Along with probably fifty other officers who also forgot? This doesn't say anything at all about the manner of his discharge.. this is just a suspension.
