Oh great — an independent type foundry where I can still pay 500USD for a typeface. Yet there's no compelling reason they should cost that much. They just do.

Oddly, the only thing about Optimo that appealed to me was the logo's typeface -- that one's rather appealing. If that logo is rendered in one of their faces, I must've missed it trying to browse that simplified (to the point of obfuscatory) interface. (In which case...bad user. Bad!)

I still think Dafont is the best font site ever--the interface is so well laid out, you can even find stuff easily in the French version. I've noticed, though, that there's a ton of flashy, headline-y, pop-culture-inspired fonts out there for free, but it's damn hard to find "boring", body-text friendly ones for free, even though so many of the well known serif typefaces are based off of designs from the 16th century.

What is exemplary about the Optimo site? its simple, clean, crisp and beautiful like the fonts produced by Optimo there are a lot of font sites out there... this is one of the better ones and thus a link i would have appreciated had it been posted by another. lineto is another swiss shop that is nice. i

One of my favorite font sites is fountain. There are some free fonts there, including Sevenet, which is such a web classic.
