noiserover - cartoons by Jesse Simpson.

This Jesse Simpson had better not be another sibling of Jessica "Being Stupid is Fun!" Simpson! I've had quite enough cultural erosion because of that pretty idiot.

The ones I looked at were pretty cool though and show that he's got some talent so I'm guessing there's no relation. I'll have to relook when I'm home and can turn up the sound a bit more, it was hard to follow with just the cartoon.

jpburns, are you talking about "comfort"? That one went a little over the top for me in terms of pauses. But the Sleep/Walker duet is great. Almost looks rotoscoped, the body movement is so authentic, only with the eerie realism of rotoscoping smudged with that fluid cartoony haze.

Very evocative. Thanks, Peter H.

Thanks for the kind words and happy to share! I've actually been aware of this guy's stuff for a bit over a year or so, maybe even more. The work is of such a strange and accomplished filmic or performed quality that I assumed a lot of people knew about it. Did a lookup on him this morning and was surprised to see little mention of his work -anywhere- and delightfully posted the link.

(though there was a brief debate with myself to continue keeping it a secret, ha!) ... I am very into this work, though. The loop at the end of COMFORT really knocked me out.
