I've listened this through 3 or 4 times, and every time it just reinforces how good the Queen tracks are, even on just a musical level. Often the hippity-hop vocals don't add a heck of a lot. But it's fun, I guess, and makes the day go a bit quicker.

If you like this, you're bound to like the Kleptones' other effort, "Yoshimi Battles the Hip-Hop Robots".

Oh, and another note to say that it's nice that there's no Bohemian Rhapsody at all, in favour of some smaller (better?) songs (e.g. Tenement Funster, Misfire, and, erm, some not from "Sheer Heart Attack")

I think this was a bit more inspired than Yoshimi Battles The Hip Hop Robots was. YBTHHR had a few very inspired tracks ("Are You A Visionary" was fantastic, and I actually think "Have You Come To Realise" is better than "Do You Realize"), in between some low points; ANATHH just seems more consistent to me.

As for the question in the original post - both of the Kleptones albums have been much better than the Grey Album.

And if they didn't get C&amp;D'd for YBTHHR, I don't see any huge reason they'll get C&amp;D'd for this.

I've been rocking this for the past few days now. In fact, I liked it so much I mirrored it. Eric Kleptone is actually citing my mirror [using freecache as an extra buffer] as the sole mirror for the non-torrent link.

If any of you are going to grab the album or blog it, please be kind to my server and keep the freecache link intact. I also have a copy of the album split into individual tracks [instead of one big file online], but I'm not bold enough to post a link to that. If anyone's interested in it, contact me and I'll see what I can do about getting you a link to it. Cheers!

I've having difficulty splitting the MP3 using the CUE file... keep getting a weird error, probably due to it being VBR.

Oh, and the names aren't filled out in the CUE file; I'll post my updated file soon.

waxpancake, if i had to guess (based on the lyrics), i'd say it's KRS-One, slightly sped up, though i don't know the specific song. (second guess: Jeru the Damaja). i'd be very surprised if you found the lyrics on Google.

(i assume you're not referring to Iggy Pop ...)

I don't think any "Night at the Opera" tracks are used. There's stuff from "Queen", "Queen II", "Sheer Heart Attack", "News of the World" and some later albums, but none from "Opera" or "Day at the Races". This is from memory, mind, so feel free to correct me.

I love the start: "Klytus I'm <em>booooooooooored</em>".

I was enjoying this, but not really ENJOYING it (meaning stuff didnt feel glued so much as rap tracks over guitar) until the heaven on earth/under pressure moment, which leads into latyrx and then beastie boys with the i wanna be free. FUCK THAT'S GORGEOUS. Well worth the wait while the beginning of the album figures itself out.

that shit approaches some of the best of this stuff, i.e. <b>Brainfreeze</b> and all that. Not bad not bad. (thanks waxpancake for the mp3)
