This is just incorrect. Klingons have definitely used deception in warfare -- just look at "The Trouble With Tribbles." Moreover, their pre-emptive strategy in "Star Trek III: The Search For Spock" strongly resembles the pre-war rationale for the 2003 invasion of Iraq: Convinced that the Federation was developing a Genesis "doomsday device" to annihilate their race, they shredded the Organian Peace Treaty, taking as hostages suspected "WMD" scientists like Dr. David Marcus and Lt. Cmdr. Saavik. The Klingons also aren't adverse to putting planets like Organia under martial occupation for their natural resources (see "Errand of Mercy.")

It's not actually true. What Multnomah County did was, as a joke, add Klingon to a list of languages that they'll provide interpreters for *if* someone shows up speaking only that language. They are not looking for a Klingon interpreter, nor do they expect to, ever. I suppose this could bite them in the ass if they have to deal with a suitably deranged Trekkie who thinks he really IS! Kahless reborn.

Do you have to be a Klingon to understand this post? Am I a horrible person for thinking that the next sentence was going to be "Because I am not a Klingon."? Forget the Klingons. I want to know who the Minbari are voting for. Now if you will excuse me, I have 287 burritos to heat up before the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea marathon begins.
