His man Anderson "executes his responsibilities with uncommon care and diligence". How sweet and innocent everything seemed back then. I just love the one about the knobs... The prof reminds me so much of The Wizard of Oz, only scruffier. Thanks for this link - must watch every one.

Yes, I saw this guy on PBS on an afternoon long ago. I've been looking for tapes of complete episodes ever since. The closest I've ever gotten is Western Instructional Television. The professor is pure awesomeness in a bottle and I wanted to burn his antics to DVD, because if anyone deserves a DVD box set, it's this man. The search continues.

Oh wow, we used to watch videos of this show in my middle school science classes in the 80s. We (okay, nerdy I) used to look forward to the next installment because he was so entertaining. I agree, a DVD box set would be superb. Great find, and a superb post. Thanks!

The prof reminds me so much of The Wizard of Oz, only scruffier. See also this thread for his Australian heir. I read that as his Australian HAIR. Scruffiness lends credibility to the mad professor types, and he's got it goin' on. Very cool stuff.

He used to do Cadbury chocolate advertiments here (Australia). Sucking a hard-boiled egg into a milk bottle by dropping a burning piece of paper in it. I KNOW there is "a glass and a half of full-cream dairy milk in every two hundred gram block of Cadbury chocolate" because the Professor said so. A mainstay of Australian TV, they occasionally use these segments as filler between programs on the ABC. Neato.
