Big discount on baby formula, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but what gets me is the widespread belief that its evil drug-dealers doing this and not people living in poverty who are forced to steal to feed their babies.

Did someone outlaw breastfeeding?

No, but if the mother isn't getting enough nourishment, where's the nourishment her child needs?

Or if she can't produce milk, or if she has to work 16 hours a day to afford to take care of her child, or..., or..., or.

There's many, many reasons why mothers can't or don't breastfeed, and most women I've known with babies (okay, it's less than 10, but none are especially unusual) use forumla to augment regular breastfeeding.

It's interesting to me to note that the exact same name brand formula is sold just across the border in Mexico for less than 1/3 of the price paid on this side of the Rio Grande. For Instance, Similac $10-12 here, Similacto $3. Hey maybe I should start selling the stuff on eBay?

Maybe the stuff sold in other countries, while branded and labeled the same, isn't exactly FDA approved?
