A cheeky look at Bush's flip flops in the form of a shoe catalogue.

It's funny and insightful because it turns Bush's own argument directed at Kerry against himself. If someone did this for Kerry, it'd be too obvious ("I voted for it before I voted against it" etc)

It would be nice if Bush actually had to face the press once in awhile so they could grill him on these things repeatedly until everyone understood what a conniving, opportunistic figurehead he is. Alas, I'll have to satisfy myself with funny photo essays.

intresting, the people who made this seem to support steel taraffs. Which is stupid.

I mean, why would someone manufacture something in the US and pay either steel tariffs, or for expensive US steel, when they could make it outside of the country with cheep steel and then not pay anything to bring it into the nation?

Bush really said, "You cannot distinguish between Al Qaeda and Saddam, in the War on Terror" in 2002?

It's good to be reminded of the lies as well as the inconsistency.

Perhaps they're just pointing out the fact that he has flip-flopped on major policy issues. It's hard to say.

When one is 'going for the funny' as the people behind this photo essay obviously were, it doesn't matter if it appears you're taking one side or the other on other topics, so long as your side is to make fun of the topic at hand: in this case, Shrub. When one is talking about 'flip flopping' the irony is an increasingly more and more dangerous cliff.

All politicians - all leaders - flip flop. They kinda have to. So when a politician accuses another of changing their mind after observing pertinent and convincing evidence to the contrary, it's the old pot calling the kettle black kind of thing. Personally I prefer a politician who isn't afraid to admit when he was wrong. A good leader doesn't lead his followers down dead end paths if he knows it's a dead end.

Frankly I'm surprised people didn't laugh right in Shrub's face the first time he brought up the flipflopping, but I guess politicians are also supposed to pretend they're not politicians. Rather, they are "Men of the People" and therefore agree with the people. They do this with a straight face, not realizing they're going for the funny. Next time you're in a room with ten or more people, try to find some opinion upon which all ten of you agree. If y'all don't find yourselves either at one another's throats or on the floor laughing within an hour's time, well ya weren't trying hard enough.

This is so well done, it's really a joy to read. I mean, I'm familiar with the info, I've read it all before, but the presentation is smart (the JCrew-esque vapid blurbs) and professional. I'm guessing an art student did it for a class...

This is really well done. On the "China/trade" flip-flop, there's some small type that says, "No taxes or shipping fees for international orders". Good stuff.
