Ouch. Was that real? In freeze-frame the nose of the blue car and the tires indicate heavy braking, the victim is bent over the hood, and the background through the windows of the blue car is correct.
I sure hope it is a fake made by guys with good attention to detail.

"Even putting aside the fact that if it was real they probably wouldn't put their names to it, it is clearly fake. It is obvious he's not directly in line with the oncoming car. Further investigation showed that there's a transparent step in the middle of the road that he steps on. Watch for when his shadow crosses it and you'll see it best, but once you know its there it stands out like a sore thumb."

"Given that the first is fake, the second stunt is probably also staged. (How ironic if not.) In this one, it looks more like he's in line with the car and frame by frame didn't reveal much besides a blur. Then I happened to notice the parked car closest to the camera on the left. Watch for the man's reflection in the window. It disappears just before the car hits, suggesting the man standing there is just a video insert at that point."

Give the Comic Book Guy there an account! I would like to read about how he's smarter than everyone without having to remember to go back to his site (which I won't). We need more smarmy folks.

I would like to take this opportunity to comment about the joke about the chicken crossing the road. I find it very hard to believe that any chicken would recognise the boundary beween the pedestrian walkway and the road surface, and also would not be aware of the fact that the road has 'another side', or even that the road exists as a distinct entity. Chickens are simply not that intelligent - a chicken would only cross a road by a matter of chance, and not by choice. Therefore, it is my opinion that this joke should be struck from the record, as the humourous content of the joke fails due to factual inaccuracy.

Oh well, I'll go back to watching Randy Johnson kill the bird with his fastball (warning, self link), I think that's pretty indisputably real.

Because a product malfunctioning and hurting someone is the fault of the manufacturer, while a dumbass hurting themselves doing something stupid is their own fault. Seems pretty straightforward. In any case, manufacturers of faulty products are sued, not run over by cars, as you seem to be advocating.

That's the first case I've ever seen where getting hit by a car makes a guy freeze (as in frame), statuelike and slide forward. 56,000 people could have spent their collective 6.5 days of valuable time doing so much more. Like killing kittens with a hammer, for example.

notsnot: I think specialk420 was making the insinuation that Laura Ingraham is a spoonerism for the title of this topic's movie.
