Ouch. Was that real? In freeze-frame the nose of the blue car and the tires indicate heavy braking, the victim is bent over the hood, and the background through the windows of the blue car is correct. I sure hope it is a fake made by guys with good attention to detail.

I would like to take this opportunity to comment about the joke about the chicken crossing the road. I find it very hard to believe that any chicken would recognise the boundary beween the pedestrian walkway and the road surface, and also would not be aware of the fact that the road has 'another side', or even that the road exists as a distinct entity. Chickens are simply not that intelligent - a chicken would only cross a road by a matter of chance, and not by choice. Therefore, it is my opinion that this joke should be struck from the record, as the humourous content of the joke fails due to factual inaccuracy.

Because a product malfunctioning and hurting someone is the fault of the manufacturer, while a dumbass hurting themselves doing something stupid is their own fault. Seems pretty straightforward. In any case, manufacturers of faulty products are sued, not run over by cars, as you seem to be advocating.

That's the first case I've ever seen where getting hit by a car makes a guy freeze (as in frame), statuelike and slide forward. 56,000 people could have spent their collective 6.5 days of valuable time doing so much more. Like killing kittens with a hammer, for example.
