O'Reilly Competitor Offers to Buy O'Reilly/Mackris Tapes to Prevent Them From Being Destroyed!
An vital action to save history from a permanent cover-up? An abdication of journalistic integrity? A publicity stunt for a show with one-eighth the audience of Bill O's? A major act of snarkiness from a newbie journo-blogger? Or just another reason Olbermann never should've quit doing sports?
This post: CableNewsFilter? PepsiBlueState? SchadenfreudianSlip? JournalisticSharkJump? Or the most important story you'll see on MeFi this weekend?

Shouldn't Larry Flynt have already stepped forward to buy the tapes? He's really off his game lately.

The clips of him narrating his smut novel were torturously awful enough, I think it's best if they do get destroyed.

Olbermann's show is easily the more interesting cable news channel choice in his time slot -- then again perhaps the fact that he's up against O'Reilly and a Paula Zahn fluff show has something to do with it.

Hey: The tapes are worth four million. Sorry, me and a lot of other people would pay a dollar or two to listen to choice segments.

I guess the fact that he is buying her out proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he does masturbate with a vibrator stuck up his ass.

Oh yeah, and the sexual harassament thing.

Yeah, I mean, Bob Guccione's already got his letters: "Dear Penthouse, I'm a news commentator at a major cable news channel--I can't say which one, for obvious reasons--and I wouldn't have believed this could happen if it hadn't happened to me..."
