Rogue taxidermists(more exhibit photos at Creative Electric Studios) abide by strict a non-violence policy. Not to be confused with plush urban beasts, almost none of the animals used in the taxidermy were killed expressly for the purpose of mounting. Specimens are collected as roadkill, gifted to the taxidermist by friends, gifted after natural deaths by pet stores, or purchased from scientific supply companies. weird. i had a portfolio from Creative Electric Studios dropped on my doorstep this Saturday.

the combination of the odd delivery plus the unusual contents (the hedgehog eating its own feet particularly disturbed my girlfriend) had me figuring it was a practical joke.

now i know it's just zeitgeist.
