The Big Picture Yep...one day left. MSNBC.com presents a broadband-only interactive that puts you in the hot seat of a Campaign Adviser. The "Produce and Ad" bit is a hoot.

My co-workers Ashley Wells and Greg Perez get credit for that one. Thanks for noticing.

Perez and Wells are 2 of the most studely studs working on the interweb. Too bad I can't see the damn thing because it says my cable modem ain't 350k.

I didn't want to see it anyway.

The produce an ad bit is pretty neat, especially in how well the voiceover flows between your randomly chosen segment. Too bad it was only documentary style stills instead of video clips.

Tell your buddies at msnbc that the newline support is wonky.

uh WHOA.

After you fill out a 10-question profile to find out where your political views lie, the thing says "we'll keep your score on file, by the way, look for it on our start page."

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMETHING NASTY IS OCCURING.

um...scarabic? you're kidding right?

at absolute worst it takes down your ip# with that info (unreliable at best for those with dynamic ip and easily spoofed if you're paranoid enough to be concerned).
more likely is it just stashes it in a cookie on your machine.

re: the link. pretty cool, but i wish there were some feedback on how effective your focus/ordering of issues and custom produced ad were. the only thing that i could see giving any feedback was the bit where you decide where you'll campaign and spend money.
