Hidden pictures! In an effort to get back to that "best of the web" thing, here are some cool hidden pictures within pictures. Can you find them all without looking at the answers? (from B3ta)

Those were pretty easy, actually. But thanks for the distraction!

This is not a distraction, but rather a return.
Thanks salmacis Most of them were easy. The rose one had me lost for a bit, but that had more to me being conditioned to looking for faces. The dolphin had to fin smack me thru the monitor finally.

I remember dozens of similar pictures in the Cole's Funny Picture Book(s) of my youth, except they were etchings or paintings and dated from the first half of last century. It must be immeasurably easier to do these in Photoshop nowadays.

Easy, but that says something about our ability to perceive patterns (especially faces): try to teach a computer to pick out the faces in the rock face picture!

b3ta, as return to best of the web? i hate to tell you this, but mostly what got posted in mefi's "best of the web days" was boring and self-important web design critiques by the boring, self-important web designers who comprised 90% of the membership.

Easy, but reasonably fun. Once you noticed how to spot one the rest just seemed to jump out.

Sal, thanks !! I liked these. I only found three of the five faces in the rock picture. Did anyone see anything extra in these pictures. In the first one, I can see a little girl in one of the woman's eyes, and a half-hidden little boy standing off to the side. And in the next one, there's an odd-looking teddy-bear-like figure to the left of the man with the fanny pack. And in the tiger picture, I could see a striped leg of a reclining woman, in a rather lascivious position. Or I'm hallucinating, not much sleep last night. Thanks for the distraction. I needed it.
