My wife was traumatized as a child by the story with the thumb-cutter-offer. I thought this had been on the Filter before...could be wrong.

Also, any excuse to scare the bejeezus out of the little ones is OK by me.

Struwwelpeter's all over Frankfurt a.M. There's a bar or restaurant named after him in Sachsenhausen, and I think there might be multiple hair salons.

If you ever get a chance to see the aforementioned play then do so, it's fantastic. Especially if the Tiger Lillies are in it.

Absolutely! The play was one of the best pieces of theatre I have ever seen in my life. I hope it comes back here, although it's a good excuse to go to New York.
