Oh, and "note to DJs: This is not an excuse to start playing 'Crazy In Love' again."

The beauty of the popularity of "Hey Ya!" is that everyone liked it; indie hipsters, little kids, grandmothers, people who only hear pop music at weddings, etc. That doesn't happen very often these days.

It's great to find another militant popster site - this I like! However, 'Hey Ya!' has, I'm afraid, been added to the safe list, and along with YMCA, Dancing Queen and HIHO! Silver Lining is gonna be played at every wedding, school disco and New Years Eve party from now till next millenium. Which is good [for proud-to-be wrinklies like me, anyway...]

I always found the universal popularity of "Hey Ya" amusing, considering it's an ode to nonmonogamy featuring the line: "Don't want to meet your momma/just want to make you come-ah."

I really hate Hey Ya. I've never understood it's popularity. However, Popjustice reminds me a bit of how Smash Hits was when it had a sense of humour.

Actually, Popjustice is way late. The Hey Ya hate has already come and gone. It's ok to like it again now.
