what was going on in that second link? Did the larger snake really regurgitate the entire victim snake, scales & all? Why is it bright red? Man, this is pretty gross!

I believe that's a California kingsnake constricting and swallowing a corn snake. (The two most popular pet snakes, incidentally.) This is why you keep kingsnakes one to a cage.
