God that dog's adorable. His face just says "why me."

Damn straight. If the police release the hounds on me I may go ballistic.

It could only have been better if the dog was named "Evander Holyfield".

The dog in the picture is not the dog about which the article was written.

Soty - a German Shepherd dog, like this one - nearly lost his left ear

Why even put a picture beside the story?

if the officer had been in possession of a firearm, this wouldn't have happened.

i'm not saying the officer would have shot the suspect, but at least the suspect would likely have been a bit more cooperative knowing he had a long-range weapon pointed at his shoulder...

y0bhgu0d, it happened in Kansas City. I'm sure the cop was armed.

then WTF?

"oh, this guy is going to try and fight me so instead of back up a bit and aim a firearm at him, i think i'll release a dog so it can get injured and tear the guy up a bit too"

alrighty. thanks for pointing that out letitrain.

then WTF?

Probably something to do with using lethal force only when your life is threatened.
