Cool hunting is a concept that always reminds me of "Pattern Recognition" by William Gibson. Buy it today!

Damn you tatochip... it's t-shirt joints like this that will take all my internet money. Neat.

Alas, at my current life stage, "skin tight and ultra sheer" is not what I need in clothing.

Yeah!
what geek looks like a fashion model!? If they want geek wear, wouldn't they need a size like "extra klingon?" or size "gamer ass spread?"

I am so buying a case of ShitBegone (as seen on the coolhunting blog linked in the post).

Melinka,

my thoughts exactly. If only that was available in supermarkets worldwide!

/pattern recognition... blech. Note to W.G.: needs more chrome. ;-)

considering it's a pleasent and seemingly well thought out site, the navigation is awful. And the shirts are pretty cool, but there are what, five of them? If you want some nice shirts....

I pointed at my computer and laughed just then when I saw that. First good belly laugh I've had all day. Facial Quality stuff, for sure. Love it.

How odd -- Humidus HQ is located about a mile away from me, here in Greenville, SC.

Sadly, however, I'm ineligible for ShitBegone delivery, as SC is a Red State -- we are suffering the wrath of ShitBegone embargo. ::sniff::

The person that coded this site needs to check it in more than IE and work with the server admin to secure this box.
Firefox on a W2K box shows me that they use an Access DB ("nyhetsbrev.mdb") to house the newsletter email addresses.
There are currently 282 people on the mailing list.

Thanks for the digitalgravel link, cmyr. I hadn't seen that one yet. Threadless is cool, too.

To spare an AskMefi thread, can you guys throw out any other sites along this line that haven't been mentioned here yet?

Attractive shirts. TDR makes some nifty one, too.

Although, nothing beats a good blank tee, IMHO. Especially a blank ringer tee. Mmmmm. Blank. Ringer.

I am so desperately uncool and out of touch with Today's Hipness that I have no idea if this is sarcasm or genuine swooning.

That's it. I'm starting a line of shirts for Star Wars geeks in sizes "Jawa," "Wookiee" and "Hutt."

Are the indie rock nerds of Greenville, SC so comfortable with their body image to make only skin tight ironic t-shirts? Do indie rock nerds of Greenville, SC even exist?

They seemed ok. I mean, after I recovered from the seizure the site gave me.

Heh, that's what I thought. You're clicking the little arrow button and suddenly you come across four in a row that are identical except for the color.

Check out Zazzle. There's loads of dross, but you can upload original (or "found") designs, and print them for reasonable prices. Similar to CafePress.

I'm giving them as presents this Christmas.

Speaking of which, Mr. Stevens, if you're reading this, my "I am ten ninjas" shirt gets me compliments and odd looks in roughly equal measure. I feel extra-sneaky when wearing it. Thank you.

Yeah only 5 shirts for now, but you got to start somewhere, so I started there...but i got more shirts in progress, soon there might be six shirts or even more ;)

Digital Gravel also carries a bunch of brands, but they asked me to send them a few samples, so maybe you might find 'happiness' there too...

and the newsletter i definitely need to do something about.

thanks.

Cool Spix. Looking forward to more shirts.

I also like the logotype, is that a Fraktur blackletter?

Ahh, any of you that haven't been to greenville S.C. can't possibly imagine what you're missing. Wait maybe you can, perhaps you heard about it on the Daily Show, we had the school Bob Jones, you know the one that hated black people.

However, i would wager that it will become a miniature santa fe of the south in the next fifteen years. The downtown Renaissance is phenomenal and having lived there for almost 20 god awful years i can honestly say its gotten a lot better. You can even take a gondola ride, if any of you want links i would be happy to provide them, but think my market must not be large.

Sourbrew: yeah, g-ville is really shaping up. Been here on and off the last 10 years and the change is amazing.

Colloquial Collision: Yeah that is Fraktur that i've used.

(I searched but didn't see it mentioned before ...)

"miniature santa fe of the south"

I believe this already exists. It's called "Asheville, NC". It's about an hour away from you.

There are a lot of trailer parks between you and it.
