I was kinda interested in seeing a Batman vs. Superman movie, if only to watch Michael Keaton beat the shit out of Christopher Reeve.

What I'd *really like* to see is a Green Lantern movie, especially one that includes members of the GL Corps.

I wouldn't even mind if they took bits of the Rangers from Babylon 5, the Lensmen from E.E. Smith's books and the actual GL characters and created a spinoff that had some of the same elements but might not be exactly what we have in the comics.

I'm really, really, really not looking forward to The Watchmen movie adaptation.

I'm really, really, really not looking forward to The Watchmen movie adaptation.

Me neither, C_D. So far, movie adaptations of Alan Moore comics are zero for two. But I'll grit my teeth, cross my fingers and hope against hope that the third time will be a charm.

My name is Constantine, so obviously I was looking forward to my movie namesake.

Instead of a hardboiled Londoner, he's Keanu Reeves. And they pronounce his name incorrectly.

AAAAARGH

I'm really, really, really not looking forward to The Watchmen movie adaptation.

I dunno, "the guy who made the Usual Suspects" cranked out a pair of kickass X-Men movies.

Above all, remember that he's a director who knows how to tell a story. Watchmen has a few big sci-fi scenes, but at it's heart it's very intimate in its scope.

I'm still waiting for someone to do The Invisibles...

Since John Constantine is Moore's Character as well, I'm calling it 0 for 3.

.......did anyone look at the Fantastic Four pictures? Someone tell me I'm not imagining this. It looks like that damn Street Fighter movie, all over again!
Raoul Julia's spinning in his grave!

Preview: I just realized I'm a huge dork.

I'm really, really, really not looking forward to The Watchmen movie adaptation.

I'm looking forward to seeing if they can finally make a good Alan Moore adaptation. They replaced Aronofsky with Paul Greengrass who as well as making a decent stab at action in his debut (The Bourne Supremacy) used to work on World in Action. (which is pretty much as credible as it gets in UK tv)

At least they're not fucking up V for Vendetta

The stills from the Fantastic Four movie aren't very promising.

It looks like they mixed up the casting for Reed and Johnny, the Thing just looks lumpy, and Jessica Alba as Susan? Dr. Doom looks like he's wearing a plastic halloween mask.

Sigh...

Apparently the movie's Thing was modeled after his original appearance in the comics, in which he was, in fact, just sort of lumpy. He didn't get his craggy, faceted appearance until later. As for Doom, I'm just glad that he looks like a guy in a mask, as opposed to someone with biometallic armor growing all over him, as was rumored earlier.

Screw the still pictures... check out the initial footage of F4. This isn't final footage... more like the promo stuff they put together to sell the idea. But it does give a good feel for their intentions. Don't expect any of this to end up in the final movie.

(from the ever-excellent FF Plaza, the best site for everything F4 related. Yep, they're my favourite comic.)

Looking to go into full-on fanboy mode? Why not recreate your favourite comic battles with plastic crack? And yes, I do need help.

As much as I want the Fantastic Four movie to do well, having lots of lovin' for the comic book films...

I think Film Threat had it right when they said that "'The Incredibles' has essentially rendered the upcoming 'Fantastic Four' movie irrelevant."

I can't see how the FF movie can even get close to the magnificence that is The Incredibles.

Yeah, that FF movie looks like a total ripoff of the Incredibles. A family superhero team? And they even have mostly the same powers. Let me guess, in the second FF movie they'll fight some underground rat-looking guy and the married couple will have a baby that's even more powerful than the rest of the family.
